My given name is Michelle and this website will give you a good understanding and interpretation of the eight sabbats that take place around the wheel of the Wiccan year, witchcraft and what it means to be a witch, the universal energies that you'll be working with and your correspondents for casting your spells.

All of this information is given in a way I feel you can relate to and understand. When you cast your first spell and it works you may put it down to coincidence, but in time you'll cast your second spell and when that works the craft will have caught your attention and you'll need to cast your third spell just to prove to yourself that this stuff really works.
No choices are taken away on this site, instead the choice is given in a way that you can understand what it is you are choosing.
Wicca is more than a religion. It is a belief system, a way of life.

I am often in The Gathering Room for a friendly chat, for private consultations and for guidance on all aspects of The Craft.
TO BE A WITCH
To be a witch does not mean that you are an outcast who lives in the woods wearing a pointed hat with big warts at the end of your nose, casting negative spells around a cauldron, flying through the night sky with your familiar sat on the end of your broomstick seeking out and preying on unfortunate weak-minded people, making them do things against their will.
To be a witch means that you are a wise one, beautiful from the inside out and you are able to work with the energies of the universe that have an effect on every male and female, not to mention the planet itself. |
To be a witch you will need to learn how to work with the energies of nature that surround you in your daily life, your spiritual parents the moon and the sun whose lives you will celebrate throughout the wheel of the Wiccan year, your spiritual family the planets, your Guardian spirits the elements of air, fire, water, earth and spirit.
To be a witch you will also have to learn all of your correspondents and why it is so important to use them correctly.
To be a witch you will also need to learn all about your tools of the craft, why you use them and what you use them for.
To be a witch is a way of life, balancing the energies of the universe for the good of all. No witch/Wiccan that is true to the craft would ever abuse the life force or energy of another by taking away their freedom of choice, not even if they thought it was for the best. As throughout life we all have lessons to learn and by taking, using or even stealing the energies of another without their permission would not only break the biggest law of all - the Wiccan law - but would also return onto you three fold.
To be called a witch should always be taken as a compliment and never as an insult, as the word witch means wise one and the word witchcraft means wise craft.
To be a witch is to know how to connect the energies you are working with before you can cast your first spell.

5. Achieve balance in all that you do.
6. Keep your words in good order.

8. Celebrate life.
9. Attune with the universal energies of the universe.
10. Breathe and eat correctly.
11. Exercise the body.
12. Meditate.
13. Honour your spiritual mother and father.

BECOMING A WITCH
From the minute you choose to live by the Wiccan laws and rules you are a witch and you can call yourself a witch.
We are all born with the gift of the wise, which is the ability to work with the universal energies, but it is only the wise ones that choose to learn, respect, live and understand the Wiccan laws and rules.
A witch can be a male or female who lives by the rules and laws of witchcraft and works with the energies of the universe for the good of all.
Some male witches prefer to call themselves wizards, but still live by the rules and laws of witchcraft for the good of all.
A warlock is a man or woman who has betrayed and disobeyed the rules and laws of witchcraft.
A witch's familiar is an animal that chooses to walk along your path with you as a companion. In days of old they would more than likely have been a cat, dog, wolf, owl, fox, deer or even a horse.
